Literature Text
My lights are fading one by one
Night is starting to blot out my sun
Connection lost
Interference high
Your voice in my ears is beginning to die.
A storm gathers, cloud by cloud
The wind is strong, the trees are bowed
Transmission down,
Communication static
My vision of you has become erratic.
My lungs are closing breath by breath
Ice creeping up my limbs like death
Call dropped
Reception nil
Update your list: one more kill.

Clinging like dust
In the corners

Hold in
A Waiting autumn
I turn
Placing a photograph
On the kitchen table
He has
His arm around her
Sun promise laughing
Warm light against
an open face
Cold body
Drifting hollow in the open tide
3.
New morning shapes
In the small hours
Breathing solid
A waning light
What do I say to him now
About the time that’s passing
The grass bends soft with
Moving shadows

Beautiful. Love the stanza/rhyme scheme; on top a great theme no less.
